Japan will be destroyed sooner or later

First of all I have to say that "What is your favorite movie?” Is the worst question you can ever make to a filmmaking student. So if someday you meet a filmmaking student or someone like that, PLEASE DON'T DO THAT QUESTION. Well, today I'm going to tell you about a movie that really put me on shock. This is Japan Sinks (2006). This is a disaster movie in which Japan will sink down to the deep sea in 388 days. The governments only hope is evacuate all Japanese to some other countries, but there are countries that don't want to receive Japanese people (yes, poor Japan). Curiously, when many people have died from the cataclysms caused by the sinking, a scientist comes up revealing the only way to stop the catastrophe (and yes, he knew it all the time, but never said anything, I think because no one asked him). Also there is a couple who loves each other but for some reason never get together until the end of the movie, when he has to leave her to die saving Japan of the sink (Sorry for the spoilers) this is the most emotive scene of the movie, and I’ll share with you at the end of the post. I like this movie because it reminds me a beautiful moment with my filmmaking classmates in the Cajón del Maipo. We stayed in a cottage, and there was a few movies under the TV. We found this movie and we saw it while drank some navegado and smoked some cigarettes. I feel sorry for Japan, first was Godzilla and then this. Anyway, the population is so large that the death of a few millions doesn't mean much to them (?). Now here is the best scene, hope you watch the full movie some day, but I think it’s difficult to find. SEE YOU. XOXO.

Even Homer Simpson went to Peru and I don't :(

Two hours ago I wouldn't have an idea about what place I would like to visit (there are so many). But I just met with a friend, and he told me about his travel to Machu Picchu a few years ago, and I realize that is a place that I would really like to go.  He told me about a kind of race that people have to do, to get to the Huayna Picchu mountain. Its like a race because only the first 500 visitors can get to the mountaintop, and everyone run through that hard, steep and endless path, and almost kill other people to be part of that 500. Well... that doesn't sound so much funny, even I think it gives me a little scary, but the way he told me sound exciting.  Of course he can get to the top, I think he wouldn't tell me if it wasn't was. That would be a real shame. Oh, oh! I forgot the questions I had to answer to write this post, but I think I already complete the 170 words. So see you next Monday dear teacher and classmates.

I'm on the edge of glory

Hello, mi name is Cecilia Oyanadel, I'm 23 years old and I'm in 4th year of Cine & TV.
Three years ago I had to do the same post in this blog when I was in level 3, so for not say the same thing I going to tell you how is my life at this moment. In my career I have been fine, I like Art Direction (Production Manager) and Direction Assistance. I will happy doing any of both. My personal life has been fine too, full of love, and fun (especially fun). This semester I hope to learn so much more than in level 3, because I didn't learn some useful stuff, but I had a great time, or that is what I remember. Also I hope no to die by Ebola soon, because I'm a girl and I just want to have fun (more), just like Madonna say.

Photography

I enjoy taking photos, but in this moment I don´t have a camera, I lost it in a concert. When I had it I took so many photos especially in the school.
Now I have a professional analog camera but I don’t use it very often because it is very complicated and I can’t handle all its functions yet, but I hope to learn soon.

Is very difficult think in a photo that I like because there are too many good photos. But an important photo that I want to share whit you is this, taken for the photojournalist Robert Capa in 1944 during the Normandy invasion in the 2nd world war. The photo shows how the soldiers landing on the coast of Omaha and reflect all the drama of that scene.
That day he took over one hundred photos, but when ordered to reveal an accident occurred with the drying and only eight were saved, this is one of those eight.

I like it because this photo is important to the history of photography and the photojournalism, and is one of the first ways in which photography is used as social testimony. Also Robert Capa is one of the most important photojournalist of all time, and practically the first war photographer so this photo would be considered like a turning point.

technology is great

My favorite piece of technology is my notebook; my parents gave it to me three Christmas’s ago. I use it every day, for practically everything, chat with my friends, to make works for the university, save photos and videos, for entertainment, listen music, etc. I like it because with it, and the most of computers, you can make a lot of things, but notebooks are more practical because you can take it to anywhere. Life can’t be the same without it, because now all is connected by internet and social networks, if you don’t have an e-mail or facebook is like you didn’t exist. I love my notebook, but I would like to buy a Mac, because I need it in my career, cine&tv, to edit my short films. It would be more comfortable instead of coming to the university only for edit.

Animals and Pets

Animals are indisputably an important part of our lives. Most of us have ever had a pet.

I love animals, but not all of them. I like, dogs and cats and wild animals like lions, meerkats, tigers and all of the family of the cats. I used to had a pet really often when I was a kid, I had sea turtles, birds, hamsters, dogs, fish, bunnies, and cats, but most of then have a short life.
Now I don’t have pets, because I live in a little apartment, but I would like have a Pug dog, they’re lovely!

I am against of use animals in experiments, but only when these experiments may produce pain on them, like cosmetology. Also, there are experiments for medical research that not maltreat animals and if this means a help for the humanity, I’m agree.

There are people afraid of some animals. In personal case I have afraid of any insects, but not of other animals, maybe because I never have been attack by dogs or other domestic animal.

If I were an animal would be lion, because is my favorite animal and they are the kings of the jungle!
